We show you how to fix a loose steering wheel/rack on our Chevy/GM El Camino G-Body Build. It' super easy to fix this issue. We originally though we had a bad rag joint, but further investigation identified we had to make adjustments to the steering rack.
The steering rack adjustment only takes a few minutes with the right set of tools. I was able to fix this with a few of my portable tools I carry around in a Milwaukee Packout Compact Tool box. You should only need a wrench, torx bit set, ratchet, and a few minutes to spare.
