The guy behind Flawless Widescreen truly deserves some financial compensation for all of the work he's done over the years to make games made by stubborn developers more enjoyable for the ultrawide clan. The fix isn't always perfect. It typically involves some UI issues but his fixes usually work pretty well. Haven't tried this one yet but I definitely plan to. I did my first playthrough of Elden Ring with the black bars because I heard that even with the FW fix, it was still quite a faff to get things working properly.
Regardless, I reckon I owe this man at least a few bucks for allowing me to use my beautiful monitor as it was intended to be used.

Flawless widescreen helps immensely. Its gone from unplayable to probably playable. Although there are still some annoying enough stutters that Im waiting a few weeks to see if they fix it. I have another game I need to finish anyway.

Just got around to playing Elden Ring. Thanks for this video! Looks great and on my 38" Ultrawide and doubled my FPS to over 120!

Worked amazingly but I did have to disable "Increase Animation Distance" because it was destroying my fps.

i love elden ring but having FPS tied to game speed is a 90s mistake fromsoftware is very used to their proprietary game engine but they should at least fix this for the next games or switch engines entirely
