Keep making videos for other chapters as well. I love your work and it's really amazing. Btw I didnt find the very first example of room booking invite much apt for the reason of Data replication, better you could say that is useful when you have conflict due to multi-leaders write and replication lag.
Amazing work, keep it up.

The content is great but I can not finish it. The camera shaking made me feel dizzy. I hope you can reupload with camera stable

When the leader goes down, how can you take snapshot of the leader and copy the data to the follower which is going to be the new leader? Leader server is already down you cant take the snapshot or copy the data. Simply new leader wont have the new writes data which was written to previous leader and couldn't get replicated to the followers due to replication lag.

@everyone Please read the book as well. This video alone is not sufficient. DDIA is a beautifully written book by Martin Klepmann. And chapter 5 and 9 are so special.

Isn't R+W > N/2 for quorum consensus? where R+W = N

13:17, isn't Quorum for conflict resolution in Leaderless replication rather than Multi-Leader replication (as you are expected to write to only replica in Multi-Leader replication) ?

Content needs to be a bit more elaborate given the complexity of the topic Video/Sound quality has not been great

12:25 the example of financial transaction for a multi-leader replication is not a good example because it is a replication technique that favors high availability and performance over data consistency. A shopping cart or video view count or domain name system would be a better example. Or you can mention 2-phase commit and conflict resolution.

is it just me or other also feel that the cons and issues have been covered a bit more detail than solutions / apporaches. Yet Great work Kunal, Thanks!

I am always puzzled by the issue when ppl read from Replica but replication between Leader and Replica isn't ready. Any solution to this issue?
