I learned from a friend and mentor many years ago to trust my "belly barometer." When the heart and mind are in sync, all is peaceful and calm. When it is like a washing machine, either the heart is trying con the mind or mind is trying to convince the heart. Neither is good. I have found this to be of great help with honest self-objectivity.

Thank you for your insight, Matthew. I would like to acknowledge that many people suffer from clinical mental health disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Having a mental health condition does not necessarily mean one is living their life out of alignment. They could absolutely be suffering and living their life according to their values. I think this is an important distinction to emphasize.

Oh Matthew, this resonates so strongly with me right now. I have fallen down such a slippery slope that I am afraid that I will never recover. I cry out to God as I understand (or misunderstand) him and I feel like nothing is getting through. I have lost my sense of self, routine and all direction. I want to escape this pain but some vague belief in the sanctity of life prevents me from doing anything rash, also the fear of pain and possible damnation prevents me. I am very alone and isolated. Lord Have Mercy

Jesus is the Divine Physician and we should seek him out to help us adjust our soul . He can be the Divine Chiropractor who can adjust our inner most soul! This works in Gods Timing as we allow Him to fix the subluxations deep within us. He is just waiting for us to come to Him!
