Haseki Hurrem sultan (1502-1558)
Founder of the Sultanate of woman. She was gifted to Suleiman by Valide Hafsa sultan as a assecion gift to her son. When Suleiman first saw her he immediatly fell for her. Soon she became his favourite. She gave birth to a series of children then. Mehmed (1521), Mihrimah (1522), Selim (1524), Abdullah (1525), Bayezid (1526/1527) and Cihangir (1531). Her and Suleiman's love was legendary. No one of the ottoman queens was so powerful by then. Especially after Valide Hafsa's death in 1534, she became even more powerful and Suleiman even married her breaking 200 years old traditions. She was very popular in Europe. The queens of different countries collaborated with her to maintain good relations with the ottoman empire. When she died in 1558, Suleiman disbanded any types of entertainment in the palace and forbade the use of expensive cloths and jewellery. This shows how depressed he became. Suleiman mourned his beloved wife until his death.

I absolutely loved Kosëm Sultan (the third actress & character) the best... She was a truly commanding presence with genuine care for her people, protected ALL the sons of the Harem despite their mother's treacheries, intelligent, strong... I just loved her.
Although I didn't agree with her unwarranted cruelty twords the Persian guy considering how well he did beside them

My favourite sultana out of all there is Safiye Sultan. First of all, she was the only character in both the Magnificent Century and Magnificent Century: Kosem. Second, she made season 1 of of the later series interesting. Third, she had the best characteristics of a real queen- she always tried to be calm and wanted the others to think she was invisible. In addition, she's the only one who walks like a real queen. In the real history, she was still very powerful and practically ruled the state for 20 years- from Nurbanu's death in 1583 all the way to her son's death in 1603. She started the construction of some very important mosques, etc. However, I think we can all agree that Kosem was the most powerful one both in the series and in the real life.
