We've been fulltime in our Grand Design 5th wheel for two years. Occasionally when using the fireplace I'd get the code E3. Which, according to the fireplace operating manual is clogged or dirty vents. Great video. Made the job super easy. I pulled out the fireplace and the vents were very dirty! Thanks!

Oh man! We haven’t even thought about cleaning the fireplace. Another addition to the honey do list. Thanks a lot. 😂👍❤️

Only thing I'd add would be to add a drop or two of penentrating oil the the bearing on the fan motor. Something like "Break-Free" or Amsoil penentrating oil, or Boeing's penentrating oil, you get the gest. But Not WD40, it's more a cleaning solvent.

Great video. If anything pull it and plug holes for rodent protection.

Thanks that's a good tip. I've not cleaned mine yet the only problem I'm having right now is the adjustment of temperature. I'm constantly trying to a temperature that I wanting. Should I say I'm constantly turning the knob and never getting a good temperature that I want.

I havce a Grand Design with a Furrion fireplace as well. It kept giving me the blinking red light, so I found your video to maintenance. My fireplace was just as clean as yours, and so I left it half installed, and turned it back on. It appears that Grand Design did not offer enough airflow on the backside of the fireplace, so it would overheat after being on for about an hour for no obvious reason. I've vented the backside and now seem to be having no problems. I know it's relative to design and not maintenance, but it might help someone who's stuck.

Great video! We have the same fireplace. I took our out some time ago when the switch stopped working. We had to use the remote to turn it off and on. One day the switch started working again. I have thought about replacing it. Have you checked in to a replacement besides Furion? Thanks for sharing!
