Hey Caleb, awesome channel, just a small note - new String("") is different then initializing a string with just "". Doing new String() creates a new object with a different id, whereas initializing strings with "" adds them to a string pool in Java. This has consequences when comparing strings.

I just started a java bootcamp, and these videos help tremendously. Concise to the point, fast, easy to follow and the relaxed approach you bring to it makes it enjoyable to learn. I LOLed when you said if someone learns the vocabulary they will be good to go. Anyone can learn the vocabulary. The difficulty is understanding the intricacies of the structure of a Java program. Once you learn what you can and can't do. As well as the minimum necessary required to accomplish certain tasks, then and only then will you be ready to write meaningful code in Java.
