My car runs on LPG. I live in Poland. It's great. It has a range of about 400 km or 250 miles. My car is actually a dual fuel system car with gasoline and LPG. I can switch between the two any time. The LPG system is aftermarket, but I save a ton of money on fuel. It's like half the price.

In Germany most of the gasstation have LPG or CNG. There are no bad accidents

In Serbia, almost every regular gas station has LPG. Most of vehicles on our streets are diesel powered because of smaller consumption. But from those that run on petrol, at least 50-60% have LPG installed- mainly because it's 2 times cheaper than petrol.

My grandparents had an 80's F150 that ran on propane, it had a 150 gallon tank in the back and ran for ages on a single tank.

I love how much effort you spend on your memes in your videos Scotty. They always tend to make me laugh, as well as giving me another point of view in some instances with what your talking about. Thank you for another great lesson good Sir.

We used to run our trucks at work on systems that burned either gasoline or propane. You just flipped a switch to convert from one fuel source to another. The propane actually had an octane rating HIGHER than Sunoco 260, which was, at the time, the highest octage gasoline available and it ran GREAT with LOTS more power than regular gasoline. And, it burned much cleaner and produced less pollution.

i have owned 2 propane powered trucks, the strangest thing was doing oil changes, the old oil looked as clean as the new oil.

Hi Scotty. I'm from Poladn, and I have Citroen Xara Picasso 1.6 witch LPG instalation. In my country any self-respecting gas station is selling LPG for cars (Shell, Circle-K, BP). I can drive on petrol or LPG. Mostly european countres use LPG because of its low price. In Poland LPG price is half of gas :D

Grand Rapids Press powered their entire fleet of distribution trucks by propane for decades. Their mechanics were very enthusiastic about propane effect on the engines. They felt the trucks run cleaner and cooler.

We actually have a CNG LNG pump station in my town, and one local trucking company runs half their fleet on it.

Hi Scotty. Here in Australia, nearly all taxis use LPG. A lot of normal cars use it as well. The range is a bit less but the LPG is a lot cheaper. They do go off with a BANG if the vehicle catches fire.
Love your work too. Take care and stay safe.

I can add my 0.02$ to this, i have a LPG converted car. Its a 2001 Audi A6 2.4 quattro, converted it to LPG in July. The LPG tank is where the spare wheel would go, its 60 liters but can only be filled to max 40 liters. One fillup is 20€ and change, meanwhile a full tank of gasoline 70 liters, would cost me 90€ and 90€ is 3 days of work here so thats a significant difference.
The LPG industry is heavily regulated, the tanks are made of 5mm thick metal. Even if the car was crushed in an accident the tank would be unharmed. In case of fire they have safety valves and regulate the pressures accordingly.
In the engine bay there is a device that converts lpg from gas to liquid and there is also a separate set of injectors.
The engine can only be started on gasoline, and it switches to lpg when it reaches 30C, that means less than 2 minutes in summer but much longer in winter, i havent tested that yet but below 0C it took 7-8 minutes to switch.
The fuel consumption is up by about 2L/100km which is around 15-20%. Slight drop in power, but it becomes noticable if the AC is on and the car is loaded with stuff.
Conversion set me back 720€, since july i have traveled ~8500km and have saved 500-600€ in fuel costs. 600€ is the average monthly wage here so thats quite significant.
In my opinion LPG is definetly the way to go, we are taxed to hell and back here so no average person can afford gasoline. Diesel is an option, but they are expensive to maintain.

I'm in Vancouver B.C gas is about $5.20 a gallon. I go down to the states to fill up once per week I save over $30 just on gas. Add some cheap dairy and some other groceries it well over $60 I save.
