What makes this story even more tragic and infuriating is the fact that it didn't have to happen. If just one of the jurisdictions that had warrants for Bionca taken her into custody, little Julian would still be alive today.

Hold your loved ones tightly - Even the supermarket isn't safe anymore 🙁

This boy died shocked, scared, in great pain and wasn't sure what was happening. He just suddenly felt a huge amount of pain in his face, then his mother panicking 😢

My best friend's son's name was Julian who we also called juju. Three days after his 5th birthday his methed out sperm donor put him in the car with no car seat and drove them both to their death over a bridge. It destroyed us all in so many ways. We miss our juju every day. For Christmas that year I had a star named after him called "Jullians Light" because the first time I met him it was Halloween and he wanted to be a 'lightbulb' for Halloween. Cutest lightbulb ever. (I know the star registries are kind of a scam but it meant the world to my best friend).

The fact that we closed the asylums rather than just making them more humane is a huge issue for the US. Its the large reason we have so much homelessness and senseless crime. One of the few times we should have regulated something instead of getting rid of it. These people need a safe place to live. Safe for them and safe for everyone else.

The poor father looked so lost and catatonic. My heart goes out to that family.

“Ay this lady says she wants to kill someone and she violated parol. Wanna arrest her?”

“Nah let her free”

God, that poor mother, I can't imagine that level of trauma. Absolutely senseless.

That judge that set her free is drunk on his own pride, he refuses to admit that he made a mistake and it’s a disgusting insult to Julian and his family

She should have been in jail long before this despicable act.

It's refreshing to hear a story where it isnt the family that is responsible

So this woman had clearly been on a downward spiral for a while before this happened. She is very clearly mentally unstable and even asked to be locked up, which to me is asking for help. She even told people she wanted to kill someone and eat their flesh. She should have received help. It should never have been allowed to go that far. That poor mother whose baby was murdered like that in front of her. I cannot even imagine. It really is a tragedy that was entirely preventable imo.

You know what is so damn sad is this is a perfect example of the failure of the mental health system this lady knew there was something wrong with her and repeatedly asked for help the best way she knew how and instead of getting her mental help they just kept tossing her back out into the world for the public to deal with

This may offend people, but i think we need to open up mental health hospitals again. With all of the information we have now, we could treat people and give them the help they need. It wouldn't be like back in the day where you can just throw people in there because of frivolous reasons. At least, i would hope there would be safeguards in place to prevent that.

How the hell did no one notice her swinging the knife in her hand at the supermarket

The country that “didn’t have anyone available “ should be held accountable! I’m sorry, they should have to have someone 24/7, on call! Or take her into a facility! She had a history of, so not like it would have been out of question! Rather deal with fallout of locking someone up for 2 days until evaluation than the death of a child and the crushing of the families that will never be the same!

Honestly, its scary how not a single person didn't notice anything going on around them.

This is disgusting. EVEN THE SUSPECT attempted to get herself help multiple times. The state of mental health services in our country is shameful.

I bawled my eyes out when the father gave his word at court. May the family take their time to heal, and if they need help, I hope they reach out to others for it.

What also made me mad is how people called me racist for being mad that she offlined the little baby... M*rder is m*rder no matter what.

This is so insane! This woman was let out again and again! This could have been prevented 100%!!
Again love you for telling the most horrible stories. Children do nothing to deserve any harm. This world has a lot of mental illness and anger.
