Making Edwardian Lace Insertion but on a modern Sewing Machine

This summer I decided to be prepared before the heat hits us, and therefore made a few edwardian inspired historybounding summer dresses :)
This one is the last and most successful one and I thought I'd share the process of making the lace insertion on the sleeves (which I am very proud of btw ;))

I wear this dress a lot and it even works fine as a blouse and petticoat - I just have to put on a skirt on top of the whole thing (edwardian capsule wardrobe anyone?)

I LOVE this dress. It's the one we see in the outfits video, right? It doesn't seem like you used a pattern, because I imagine you would have listed it.
I THINK I could manage the insertion lace fine, although I'm a *back stitch by hand* kind of nutter. But I don't think I could manage to make something so pretty to fit well without a pattern or a draft guide.
It's gorgeous! 😍😍😍

I LOVE the dress! Lace is just the most beautiful thing 😍 I'm currently attempting to crochet my first strip of lace, everything is sooo tiny! But it turns out great so far :)
