I use dog mom in a parental way. You wouldn't let your human children run wild and do whatever they want. Why let your dog do that. Parents implement rules and structure. It is a disservice to parents everywhere to use that term for people who let their dogs run the house. That is not parenting.

Dogs are part of the family, but are no substitute for a family. Dogs aren't kids, dogs are pets and should be treated as such. They don't want to go for a "walk" to the mall on a pram surrounded by loud noises and smells, they want to walk and play outdoors, preferably with other dogs.

I agree. I just think your delivery is harsh. Seems a bit judgey rather than practical. Loads of people need the message, but delivered more sensitively.

It is not cute to treat a dog like a kid, nor healthy to spoil a dog. That's why so many dogs have become hysterical. This new fashion of taking dogs in prams or bags everywhere is ridiculous. Dogs want to go out to parks, not malls, they are over sensitive to noise and smells
