How To Copy Presets & Settings To New Premiere Pro Versions - FIX SYNC SETTINGS - It can be very frustrating when installing a new version of Premiere Pro CC to find out that none of your presets and settings were copied over. The Premiere Pro team created a feature meant to solve that problem called 'Sync Settings' using their Creative Cloud system, but unfortunately, it has never worked for me since it came out many versions ago. After having to spend hours recreating all presets and settings for every new install, I thought to myself; there has to be a way to solve this problem manually... And here it is! In this video, Will teaches you how to manually copy and paste your presets and settings from old versions of Premiere Pro CC to newly installed versions of Premiere Pro CC.

Thank you for this. My question, if you're the night AE coming into the office to work after the day AE has left for the day, can you easily switch from the day AE's user settings to your own user settings in Premiere? That's how it works in Avid; you can easily change user settings within the same project. But with Premiere it doesn't seem like that's possible.

I cannot believe how bad Adobe can be sometimes.
How are your settings not accessible/available when you you log in to your cloud account?
That is a BASIC feature across any cloud software!
And nothing works the way Adobe says it will. 
I could never get Premiere to upload my settings via sync settings. 
Sync Settings would try to download settings even when I had "Upload Only" selected.
Further more, I could not find anywhere in my cloud files where these settings it wanted to download were saved.
Thank you for this work around, and Adobe...get your crap together.
Note: I have been using Adobe products for 13+ years, and it is always something with them.

UPDATE: Sync Settings STILL doesn't work in the 2022 version, however, this manual process still works in version 2022. (Copy over both the creative cloud files and the User files).

Thanks for the tutorial. However, I have a problem with Adobe Premiere Pro 2023 on PC. I need to import 1 set of effect presets every time I start. When I closed Premiere and restarted, that setting was gone and needed to be re-imported. May I know how to solve it?

So if you sync, then move to a different computer, do your presets move over?
