FEEDBACK: i did and followed everything he said, 150+ blocks away from a village, made sure there were no caves under the building for golems to spawn and i afked for about 40 minutes and got around 46 iron. i then noticed golems were spawing outside the water so i spawn proofed it buy adding more leafs 5 blocks out from each side and got around 30 iron plus the original 46. so it does work but it is pretty slow. you can also build this above an ocean to prevent outside spawning

If you Guys are having cats spawning in the farm you need to put 5 cats in your afk room so no cats spawn out there i hope this helps.

Iron Golems start spawning at 10 Villagers but i still recommend building 20 for more villagers being produced you can transport

I made a similar iron farm from a tutorial like this one a year or more ago. I discovered that if i put extra beds outside the area they are trapped in and extra work stations, and I have 5 tamed cats it works well. Mine is also raised 30 blocks in the air with leaves on every surface for 30 blocks around it. The only place the golems will spawn is in the water. If it stops working, I built it so I could take out a block and off a few villigers, then feed them bread to mulitply, and soon enough, it starts working again. I also will break and put down again the extra beds. I think it just changes things up a bit to kick start it again.

I don't understand. 3 spawned. Aftsr this only cats. I did as mentionned and tamed 5 cats in my afk room. No more cats but no more golems. Should I kill the cats and let them spawn and die ? Should I put a zombie near them ? Would it help ?

Do you have to use a certain type of villager or can I use a blacksmith?

So in bedrock you need 20 villagers with jobs and then a golem will spawn

if it spawned two iron golems and stopped, try replacing the golem areas floor with wood planks, it started working for me after that.
