I hope he's in a better place mentally now. Such self doubting thoughts aren't healthy or normal. Sometimes life just kicks you to make you self doubt, or you're born in to a culture that puts unhealthy thoughts in your head.

Whatever made him think like that, I hope he's better now. A crisis often brings out our unconscious boogiemen. And sometimes that's a good thing.

He seems tough as nails, and immediately asking about his bros shows a good heart.
