Not only were the prices generally better than in AZ, but the quality of the food was definitely better. And just different. You made my day with a Conad grocery video. 😁

Easter is a lovely time of year in Italy. So many nice delicacies. If you can try the pasticerra cake, it's a traditional cake for Easter. You will find it in the patisserie shops. Thanks guys 😊

Conad is a beautiful supermarket. The prices went up a bit when we were there in January but everything, especially eggs and produce, are cheaper than the NY tri-state area. Fresher too!

Hi Chris you really have to get your viewers into our Calabrian specialities .
N’duja ( da Spilinga ), chipolla rossa and fileja (pasta).
And perhaps one of my favourite pastas, just because of the name although it’s from the North, strozzapreti, the translation of which is priest stranglers.

Although I appreciate you promoting Calabria, providing accurate information should be a must. I was born and raised in your neck of the woods in Calabria and visit yearly. So I get a bit frustrated when painting things with a broad brush or making the area sound like Disneyland for retirees. When providing food costs, provide up to date exchange rates from Euro to USD. Is the item being sold per kilo or not. Most fish sold in Calabria are not from the area. There is nothing left in the oceans that surround Italy. With in season and locally grown produce I agree with you. Being a blogger does carry its responsibilities. But once again thank you for promoting the area. A good story is a well balanced story. Therefore at times do a piece on some of things you have found a challenge with in everyday life in your area. It adds credibility to your channel.
