I live in SF. Grocery’s so hela expensive. I just went to Whole Foods. Got myself a salad from the salad bar, a drink, baby oil, and a Barry Manilow cd to listen to and the total was over $300

This is super sad, but to preface, as someone who works in a supermarket in the UK, America’s shelf face up game is unparalleled. I swear most of the shelves in the UK look like people just launch themselves into it.. everything is sooo neat and tidy 😅 do these big supermarkets have people dedicated to making things look neat and tidy?

Ultra-processed foods have the same price as in Poland, but normal food is more expensive. But you earn in $$ so hard to compare.

Oh man if I ever visited an American store I'd literally buy every reeees product they have. They only thing they seem to sell over here in UK is the butter cups and maybe cereal

The same amount of food in India would be around 12 dollars.

If you are in California you don't have to buy groceries
You can take anything (worth less than 950 $ ) for free
So only pay for gas and rent
