Definitely a much awaited movie 👌.. Chris has pulled out an another masterpiece. Good to see Matt there .. the last movie I saw of him was Green Zone.

Oppenheimer did regret his creation, but sadly by that point, we know the devastation it could lead to. Now merely a stature till someone actually orders their launch, a ticking, slumbering bomb that will go off one day of the Unknown.

Very impressive story and the movie seems to be very good.
It is wrong to say that the first atom bomb fell in Hiroshima, it was actually the second.
The first atom bomb exploded in Alamogordo New Mexico as a test.
It is also true that there were concerns that the nuclear reaction could spread and set the entire Earth's atmosphere on fire.
This why he says that "the probability of this is near zero, well zero".
The US developed three nuclear devices at the time.
One of them used Uranium 235 and the simpler Gun method, to set it off.
This was the bomb dropped in Hiroshima..
The other two were using Plutonium and needed the more complex implosion method for the ignition of the bombs.
The test in the US and the Nagasaki bombs were using Plutonium.
The Germans were also trying to develop a nuclear weapon, since the early days of the war.
Their main problem was that they concentrated their reactor development by using Heavy water as a moderator and did not realize they could use graphite like the US did.
The French heavy water supplies were smuggled out to England, when France was overrun and a plant producing heavy water in Norway was destroyed by the allies (there was a '60s war movie called The Heroes of Telemark, starring Kirk Douglas, regarding this).
Had the Germans realized they could use graphite (in abundance in Germany) it is very possible they could have developed the bomb first, even with the delays done by their non-NAZI nuclear scientists.
