➡➡This video is an actual patient with a blood clot in the calf. 🦵This can also be called a DVT or deep vein thrombosis. Here I show what it actually looks like and what a positive Homan's sign is. Notice the redness, swelling, warmth to touch (see me check it) and pain.

Am I the only one that's very anxious about this super calm chill video? When I feel the urgency that this patient needs to go to the ER immediately?!?

I very much like it because it is short (very short) and to the point. No pausing, no commercials. I like it.

Thank you so much! It's one of the only video showing exactly what to look for. I'm prone to blood cloth(genetic disease) but never knew exactly what to expect even with what's written online. You might save lives with this! Have a great day

I experienced deep vein thrombosis on both calf muscles. They occured at different times. It's very difficult to walk and pain worsens with time. Treatment must be taken immediately or it lodges in the lungs causing pulmunory embolism. Since then I have changed my diet, very active and managing stress. Do not ignore the pain.

I needed this video a week ago! My leg was swollen and I was in intense pain. ER PA said it was sciatica. He was wrong. Ultrasound showed I had a blood clot from my pelvic bone to my right calf.

Mine started with a stabbing pain on the groin, went down to my knee, then calf. My calf got swollen, but no redness, just a little warm. After four days of not being able to walk, Yesterday I went to ER. The ultrasound showed 3 blood clots. Trust your gut! You might not show all the symptoms! People tried to convince me it wasn’t a DVT because it was not red and my calf wasn’t getting bigger.
I have APS and SLE. And in November I had a septoplasty. So I believe all that contributed to me getting those DVT.

I have a client in her 40's that said she was having like charlie horse pain in her calf and like a pulling feeling toward the top. Sure enough, it's a clot in her calf. No redness, or warmth, or pain to touch.

I had dvt in both legs due to overdosing on heroin after being clean a long time and relapsing my first time, almost killed me. Sadly my own mother and her friends left me in the mini van where I took the drugs and overdosed. I fell backwards ontop of my legs laying on them in a very awkward and probably painful position, and woke up the next day in a hotel room and couldn’t feel the floor with my feet. Fell back asleep and woke up later with my legs the size of a 500 lb obese persons leg. Went to the er and they said I had blood clots and dead muscles in my legs. They removed both of my calf muscles and had to put in wound vacs to help them heal. Worst pain and experience of my life.

I had an ankle sprain last year end of Dec whilst on holiday. I wore an ankle support and made a mistake of wearing it whilst sleeping and also in the car. After 3 days we were driving home and after about 200km I started having intense pain in the calf. That night the pain nearly took me out. When i went to the doctors and told them i thought i had dvt they told me that could not be. Took me months to 3 months to get them to do a blood coagulation test. They then reluctantly sent me for a doppler and it turned out i had a clot. This was 5 months later. I could not walk. I developed sciatica and osteopenia due to disuse in the toes. I was in intense pain even when lying down. It was a nightmare. Thank God I'm recovering now and able to walk. If only the doctors had listened to me, i could have been treated earlier. I can still hear the mockery in their voices. Dvt pain alone is deadly. Please if you feel pain in your calf after a journey or sitting or an injury go for the blood coagulation test and a doppler. Don't let anyone tell you that you are overreacting. Exercise your legs even when lying down. Drink lots of water.

My sister had a blood clot in her leg recently. She was in the hospital for two weeks. Then she went to rehab she got out then she went back to rehab so I want to say for a good two months she started looking really good she got to get out of the hospital and the rehab was doing very well. She had people coming to the house to do physical therapy and everything And now she’s gone back to drinking it’s like closet drinking she has no children she’s 64 years old. You can’t speak to her so I emailed her and I know she read it but she didn’t bring it up when I called her I don’t know what to do with her. She went all that time without drinking and now that she’s home she’s going back to drinking alcohol. It’s really awful the reason why she ended up in there in the first place she had fallen I believe she was drunk, she must’ve banged her head and passed out in the bathroom, there’s nothing I can do about it she won’t go to rehab she won’t get help

Got a blood clot on my inner calf after a 5hr horseback ride...felt tingling numbness from my knee to my foot... noticed a red mar and thought it was a bug bite. B
I'm on ut after a couple days the redness went away and a bb sized lump appeared, so went for an ultrasound....
I'm on Xarelto, it's been 1 month with no change and can't ride my horse anymore because it's painful on that calf area

My mother just passed away today because she had blood clots. Waiting for surgery but it’s to late.

I had calf swelling and warmth but no pain. No surgery or other obvious factors like long travel or any other symptoms. Just a feeling like my calf muscle was seized up or pulled. Doc sent me to the ER. Turns out I already had a PE which was removed with, essentially, a drain snake through a vein.

Lucky it did not kill me.

Clots are scary.
