Do you think you have a blood clot? 🩸

Blood clots are gel-like clumps of blood. They are beneficial when they form in response to an injury or a cut, plugging the injured blood vessel, which stops bleeding.

Some blood clots form inside your veins without a good reason and don't dissolve naturally. These may require medical attention, especially if they are in your legs or are in more critical locations, such as your lungs and brain. A number of conditions can cause this type of blood clot.

I got so lucky on this one. I was visiting someone in the hospital when I passed out. Testing revealed a chronic blood clot in my right leg, and multiple pulmonary emboli in both lungs.
Right place at the right time.

I ended up with bilateral pulmonary embolus following shoulder surgery. I was very sedentary and ended up with 4 clots - 3 in the left lung and 1 in the right lung. I had chest pain and shortness of breath and went to the ER. The strange thing was, I felt fine other than those symptoms I was walking, talking and even joking with the nurses until the ER dr asked me should I go into cardiac arrest what do you want us to do? It got real for me fast and off to the ICU. I never realized how close I was to death and I am so very grateful to all the Drs and nurses who saved my life! ❤

Ok, I don't think they ever had a bloodclot, but they did treat patients with it. Here are some symptoms you have to worry about. Problem breathing. Pain in the chest or back, and it feels like you probably have gas. Yes, swelling in the leg the back of the leg or if your foot won't fit in your shoe or it really hurts. Pay attention to your calf. That's the fatty part of your leg. If it feels stiff, please don't wait to go to the hospital. Signed a person who had a blood bloodclot and is on Eliquis for life.

It is important to pay attention to these symptoms. My mom passed away from a pulmonary embolism when I was 7 yrs old. 😢

I am just about ready to find a new pc because he has cut his time with his patients to 15 minutes and if you're not done he's already out of the room I am that patient that you spoke about and thank you for helping me I do appreciate it and all you're doing just don't stop

Great subject Docs 😀, I had a female neighbor who sadly had a blood clot in both legs. She complained of pain in legs the day of her passing so definitely take these symptoms seriously

You two are providing a great service!
In a time when people try to self diagnose, you're teaching us signs of important things to look for!
You're making us aware so we'll know when we should have something checked out! And you're potentially saving lives of people who wouldn't usually go to their doctor for a little symptom!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, you're helping us take better care of ourselves!
Your priceless sense of humor makes you so relatable, taking some of the fear of seeing doctors!
Thanks for all you do for us and always sharing such valuable information! 🤩

My husband had 3 clots in his right leg down to his foot... He didn't know til his foot was hurting and cold that something may be wrong... He went to ER they done CT scan an found them, of course didn't tell us anything just rushed him to Tulsa... They were able to save everything except for his foot... He was amputated 7inches below his right knee... Then after 30 days out he developed a very aggressive infection, then 3 guillotine chops and a final amputation later so far things have been ok... They said he caught cvid an that it thickened his blood just enough to cause clots... Strange he never had any cvid symptoms nor did he ever get jabbed... This all happened between Aug of 21 to Oct of 21...

I just suffered one a few weeks ago. Woke up out of my sleep at 3 AM in the morning fighting for breath. Told my wife to call the ambulance and was fighting to breathe. The Dr's numbed up a spot in my groin area andade an incision..I could feel the tool they inserted to remove the clot going from the groin area incision upwards to my lungs to grab the clot. It was painful and I had to grip onto the sides of the bed to endure the pain. I could feel the clot moving as they were pulling the clot out. The Dr. kept saying " Hang in there Mr. Chadwick! Hang in there! I had to focus on taking short breaths. Once the clot was out I was able to breathe freely again..He showed me the clot afterwards. It was the size of a hot dog cut in half. Now I know what people and animals feel like when they are suffered to death 😢. I will now be on blood thinners the rest of my life where my blood thickness has to stay at a certain thickness. It can't be to thin or to thick.
