If you are late due to a cruise excursion they will not leave you. If you are out on your own daily adventure they will leave you. We have done this run

There's always that one passenger or couple that does this on every stop.

Rule of thumb: Be within walking distance near the docks no less than 30 minutes before sailing from port. Be back within the same general area no less than 60 minutes before sailing.

Imagine being left behind with a bikini and a towel in an unfamiliar place with no id or means to access a bank...makes mental note not to be late for a cruise if I ever go on one.

This happened to me before. I got jacked up by the time difference of the country compared to the time on my watch. I heard the cruise blow. Everybody and their mama were out on the decks, cheering and encouraging me to hurry up and run faster, …it was embarrassing lolol

Im embarrassed to say. I’ve done this. We were seconds away from being left. My wife was mad at me the rest of the cruise and for a few months after that. We met up with some of my friends that live in Honduras and got super hammered. She kept asking me to leave but I kept saying. 5 more min. So on. Then she said that’s it. Let’s go! We did. On the way back we got a flat tire. Took us 20min to get it fixed. We we actually got to the port. We realized it was the wrong ship! They all look alike! Anyways. We made it. But the whole crew was pretty mad at us.

I've seen these type of videos before I've never been on a cruise but if I did go I certainly would not cut it this close probably I would be back an hour earlier than required.

I work on a small tour boat over the summer and my captain NEVER hesitated to leave people behind if they were late lol it was hilarious

About 25-30 of us we’re partying at a club in Cozumel, and someone got on the DJs mic and said, ships leaving in five minutes, it was funny seeing everybody scramble to the boat, funny as hell, great memory!!
