FORD TRANSIT 2017/18 2.0 CORRECT TIMING MARKS

There will be slack on the belt opposite of the tensioner but do not worry as the slack will be taken off by tensioner when turned over by hand.

The video cut off abit short but the single mark on the idler would like up with the two marks on the fuel pump after 2 1/4 turns (it is a timed fuel pump)

After installing the timing belt, turn in the direction of rotation until the pump marks are aligned

Hello. This is a huge help. The info is missing in the repair manuals. The manuals work if NOT doing an engine overhaul. Are you absolutely sure about the 2 and 1/4 turns (of the crankshaft?) for the marks to align???

Mine has just snapped on a 2 1/2 year old 175hp full size transit..!! Started it up and it stopped after 5 seconds and went to start it and she is turning over fast..!! What damage do they do.!! Not knowing how quick the dealer can do it and if they start wriggling.!! Although it is in warranty and serviced at the correct intervals..! I will do it myself if no other damage..
