I was thinking about the psychology of giving into cravings recently. The way I see it, information is not the only factor. I have known for a long while what diet would be healthy for me, and I knew that if I stuck with it I would 100% make it to my weight loss goals. But, reflecting on my relapses, I conclude that knowing what is best is not enough, because in order to get the results we all want, we must stick to that diet long term, and here is where I lacked a belief. I believed in the diet, but would always give in to cravings because at a certain point I lost faith in MY ability to stick to the diet. So I think you need two prongs of belief: Belief in the correct route to your destination AND belief in your ability to traverse the path to its end.

After being carnivore for 4 months I ate a Big Mac. I was exhausted for the rest of the day and had to take a nap. It had to be the Big Mac nothing else had changed. Never again.

I have stopped thining of junkfood as food. I am at a stage where i find junkfood disgusting, but im still addicted to it xD. Working on it though. 2024 has actually been the healthiest year of my life so far. At least as an adult. I ate a lot of junk as a child though, but i live in Norway. Ingredients here are much better. Always been pretty fit despite all the junk, always been an active person.

Carnivore for 1.5 year. Then wedding and honeymoon cut loose a little bit and before i knew it i had beer and sugar almost everyday for a month. Still fighting to get back on track. Its unbelievably addictive. And it ruins my mood and energy. But the hooks are in me right now. Hopefully this video helps

Max, I just want to say that you have such a great variety of content and have gotten very skilled at presentation.
I am also now immune to the temptation of eating junk food, and I'll add alcohol as well. Last night I went to a fancy dinner, at which there were waiters walking around during the first part pouring glasses of wine and Champagne. There were more bottles and glasses of wine available during dinner, and waiters asking if you wanted your glass filled back up. In the past I would have had at least a glass during cocktail time - probably two - and at least another glass during dinner. So a total of three, if not four, glasses of wine. Last night I sipped on a glass of water and didn't miss the wine at all, because I enjoy my time fully present without alcohol now that I eat to live and no longer view eating as entertainment or recreation.

I've found that this diet has helped me remove my over eating, excessive eating. And I just don't want the junk anymore and if I do give in to eat it I take one or two bites and can't eat any further.

Ever since i went carnivore i only crave meat, fatty meat. Even if you get cravings just eat meat til your full or cant even think of eating. 😊

Outstanding video Max, thank you! I’m a carb / processed food addict who didn’t realize it until I started BBB&E on 12/01/22. Since then every time I have fruit, dark chocolate or any other carb or processed food, my blood sugar takes 2-3 weeks to return to a healthy state and my energy is sapped. Carnivore, specifically BBB&E, is the only solution for us carb / processed food addicts. THANK YOU for presenting this information perfectly!

I always try to think of how carbs and sugar will affect my body in a very negative way and remember all the aches and pains it triggers if I were to eat it again. Keep a diary of all your ailments and compare it to how you feel on carnivore! Night and day!

At least if you’re gonna cheat on your diet, make a homemade version. My Mom won’t give up junk food, so I make cookies, French fries, bread, etc. for her with butter for the desserts, tallow/lard to fry, organic flour for bread, etc. These things aren’t necessarily good for you, but it’s better than eating the packaged stuff. Then eat as much meat as you can otherwise.

I found cutting junk food easy. I was strict Keto for 3 years then I went zero carb / carnivore 5 months ago, not because I needed to lose weight as I’m lean. I just know it’s the most healthiest way to eat. Full stop!
I even quit booze, that wasn’t hard either, even though I was a borderline alcoholic. I was drinking at least a bottle of red wine every night, often 2! For years!!
But my lord am I struggling to kick smoking weed.
I’m seriously active, I work in the building game and I’m fit as a fiddle for my age (49) but having a couple of joints in the evening was the only thing I could help me relax. I live my life like I’ve been sniffing cocaine, even though I’d never touch that rubbish. I’m so hyperactive it’s ridiculous. I literally just eat beef, lamb, butter and eggs. And I have incredible energy.
The weed was the only thing that slowed me down. And that’s why I’m finding it so difficult to stop. Even though I’ve not had one for two weeks, as I’m stubborn and ultra disciplined.
I just wish I could relax.
I can’t even read or watch tv, which is what I usually do after work. I’m finding myself going to bed ultra early to quell the insane boredom.
I’ve literally given up everything in life to be healthy and this is the final hurdle! But by fk is it’s bloody difficult 😂
