Bastet is the Egyptian cat goddess of domesticity, fertility and women. She was known as the mother of all the pharaohs. She was also the goddess of transformation and acted as a connection between the material and spiritual world.

This video is so good. Informative even though it's short. It's too bad that time the Egyptians surrendered because they saw Bastet's image on their enemies' Shields.
I also just want to suggest Sekhmet, Bastet's sister or counterpart, a war goddess with the head of the lioness

I always wondered if the slaying of Apep by Bastet was a way of showing the transition from snakes protecting crops of grain from vermin to that of self domesticated cats protecting the grain. Both hunt and kill grain eating vermin. A bit of kitty propaganda I can totally get behind, no offense meant to snakes!

These ancient abolished Animal Hybrid Gods and Goddesses were and still, beautiful creatures, along with their humanoid Gods and Goddesses. CANNOT!!!! for their near return since the 6th seal was recently opened back in 2020.
