I've lived in Banff, Canmore, Calgary, and was born in Cold Lake, Alberta.
The West is the Best, and Alberta is a notch above all other provinces in Canada.
Many famous Canadians come from Alberta, too.
Kurt Browning is known as "The Kid From Caroline" because he was raised in Caroline, Alberta. He was born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, and then spent his childhood in Caroline.
Nickelback is a Canadian rock band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta.
K.D. Lang is a Canadian pop and country singer-songwriter who was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta.
The Sutter family, six brothers: Brent, Brian, Darryl, Duane, Rich, and Ron, reached the NHL in the late 1970s and early 1980s. They were born and raised on a farm in Viking, Alberta.
And finally, Jann Arden, a singer-songwriter who was born in Calgary, Alberta.
Just to set the record straight, we are not PR**KS!, according to Jann. 😆

Edmonton used to be festival city, with a busy and vibrant nightlife, and many public family events, before covid ruined life. A sprawling, beautiful capital city. The longest continuous trail in the world, the river valley provides many bike and walking paths. Plenty of shopping. Summers are phenomenal with 4 months of clear, bright skies.Jasper and the mountains are just a 3 hour drive.

Having lived in 8 of the 10 Canadian provinces in suburban, urban and rural settings I have to tell you that Lethbridge blows everything else away. You can buy a million dollar home for half that price and it will probably have a nice setting to boot. It has the most sunny days of anywhere I have lived and is close to anything you may need. If your looking to relocate to someplace that has excellent value, great climate and friendly people don't overlook Lethbridge!

Lethbridge can be windy at times during the winter months but is the warmest of all Alberta's Cities being semi -arid climate, its location is central to many surrounding places. Only 1.5 hrs to the mountianous Waterton National Park and Crowsnet pass. Only 2 hrs from Calgary and 3 hrs to Banff ...all easy day trips. Also 1.5 hrs to Medicine Hat also a beautiful city. Only 1hr to the south is the Montana US. border and 3-4 hrs to Whitefish and Kalispell. Boasts a large University, has a diversified economy with agriculture, oil and cattle farms. Has affordable housing for retirees coming from the big cities.

My sister and brother- in - law had to move to Calgary because my nephew has Autism and is non- verbal. 2 of my relatives are into tech jobs, and you can find work almost anywhere.

There are always contact work. My brother in law eventually got a job in the power industry.

Calgary’s Children’s Hospital looks like a Lego building! They also have the zoo, a Science Center.
Chinook Center Mall.

Cochrane is the only one I would consider on the list! Grande Prairie was always my favourite.

I don't know were you get your info on Lethbridge. But property taxes are the worse in Alberta. In the ten years that I have lived in Lethbridge my Property taxes have gone from 1700 to over 6000.

You can't live in Banff unless you work there. There is a cap on population.

We have lived in Alberta since 1998. None of those are my choice. We have lived in Airdrie, Okotoks and now live on a small farm in Vulcan County. There are MANY more places which are better than the ones on the list. For prices of property, job opportunities and lifestyle, my choice will always be the rural areas..

I have lived in 3 provinces, 3 countries, and will never move again………
