In today's video I share the next 10 sci-fi books that I plan to read and why! I count down from 1-10 and discuss whether it was the cover, the author, the premise or the Goodreads rating that caught my attention. What's on your TBR list?

A word about the Rama series. For the Arthur C. Clarke purists Rendez-vous With Rama should be considered a standalone book that leaves you with a sense of awe at the end like 2001.
The rest of the series was masterminded by co-author Gentry Lee and book after book lead to nothing. It's readable but not 'Clarkian.'
But to me Clarke's most memorable book remains the City And The Stars..🚀

Im just back reading this year and have many of your suggestions on my list. I have read Oryx and Crake and loved it. Best reads so far are Chilldhoods end, A fire upon the deep, house of suns and Project Hail Mary (fun). Im tempted to take on a series with Pandoras Star. Maybe i, ll wait for your review. Also on my list are A Canticle for Leibowitz, We are Legion, A deepness in the sky and Station 11. Cheers

Of these I have read
Oryx and Crake, I liked it but not enough to go on to the second book
Ubik, I read it many years ago when I went though my PKD phase. I know I like it but not as much as I loved A Scanner Darkly.
Rendezvous With Rama, many years since I read it, it is on the TBR list.
My favourite sci-fi reads this year has been ‘Remote Control’ by Nnedi Okorafor and ‘Project Hail Mary’ by Andy Weir.
