The way Rhaegal's death was handled was so insulting. He survived through the deserts, through the conquests of the eastern cities. He survived numerous battles, and even survived against death incarnate, only to get swatted out of the sky by Jack Sparrow's crotch jockey edgelord cousin. The absolute disrespect.

I don’t like the fact that dragons are so easy to kill. There should be some special weapons that you have to go to King Hades the Hell Raiser himself and get, if you want to be a dragon slayer. They should not be able to be pierced by an arrow that can kill a human with no problem. This is where they failed big time in this series. They made the dragons weaker than they are.

There is a moment where Rhaegal looks a lot like Viserion, because of the colors, look carefully at the beginning

I haven't watched GOT, I'm just here to admire the cool dragon designs.
I don't know how this scene started and if they saw the fleet before (even if there's a shot that shows they flew over it), but either way, they could've made this same scene but in a more believable way, because those 3 perfect shots first try and then all misses looks seriously dumb and I feel sorry for the whole fandom.

Here's how I would've enacted it:
-they were either flying around the island and when they turn around that high coast/castle they find the fleet face to face or maybe they saw it but they thought they were passive ships (not with weapons ready to shoot)

-they were flying peacefully when they see one of those harpoons almost hit Rhaegal, they dodge it. They look around and try to figure out where is it from. Then a second one appears, also misses. They notice it's the fleet that's shooting, so they both fly down towards them to attack.

-during their descension an harpoon misses Drogon and pierces through Rhaegal's wing, they get mad and keep going down, another spear immediately follows, finally hits Raegal somewhere vital, he opens his wings and stops going down, he starts screeching in pain. Now that he's an easier target all the balistas point at him and shoot him again, painfully roaring he falls.

-In the meantime Drogon and the protag dive bomb and get close enough and start blasting fire and destroying the ships, Rhaenyra turns around and sees Rhaegal falling into the water, with all those harpoons. She screams of anger, Drogon roars, they destroy the fleet with all the rage in their heart.


I hope this version is better in your opionion, again, I don't know anything about the story, but I agree with y'all that this death is so dumb, random & written in an unbelievable way.

This was so dumb. You're telling me Dany didn't see an entire armada of ships waiting in the water? Plus you're telling me that the armada went 3 for 3 on shots on one dragon hundreds to thousands of feet away? All while Drogon goes unattacked while flying right next to each other? The writing was so bad at this point it's laughable.

I can see why Dany went nuts! She was forced into a situation didn't want, plus lost everything and everyone she held dear, plus was constantly being betrayed! Dracarys them all, Dany!!
