Marc Polymeropoulos, a former C.I.A. officer, talks with Rachel Maddow about the significance and implications of new revelations in a book, confirmed by the New York Times, that Vladimir Putin sought to assassinate on U.S. soil a former spy who had defected to the U.S., breaking a norm of relations between the U.S. and Russia.

What happens in Florida stays in Florida… everything stays in Florida because that’s where things go to die, including self-respect and political integrity.

It's possible Pukin already crossed that line in 2015 w/Mikhail Lesin, a Russian media mogul. Killed in his DC hotel room the day before he was to meet w/DOJ.

On the other hand we should deal with Putin’s assets in the USA with an iron fist, such as Trump and some other maga fascists.

For those of you still waking up from your slumber, Russia committed two acts of war on UK soil. Firstly, when FSB thugs assassinated Alexander Litvinenko in London in 2006, using the highly radiocative Polonium 210, which they smeared across half of my home town, where my family live. Then in 2018 they sent two of their GRU thugs to murder Sergei Skripal. This involved the use of Novichok, which is a banned nerve agent, resulting in the death of a British national.
There have been numerous other suspicious deaths of Russians on UK soil, including that of Badri Patarkatsishvili in February 2008, and of Boris Berezovsky, who was found dead in the bathroom of his mansion in 2013.
Then of course, there have been numerous other acts of hostility, including cyber warfare, involving various attempts to hack into our infrastructure.
So as far I'm concerned, Russia has been an enemy of the UK since 2006, and as the old saying goes, my enemy's friends are also my enemies - which in my eyes made Trump an enemy of the UK.
It should come as no suprise that UK intelligence agencies were forced to withhold some of our most sensitive intelligence from our US counterparts during Trump's disastrous tenure.
It's high time people woke up and starting dealing with Trump and his enablers for what they are, which is undoubted traitors. Each and every one of these traitorous dogs needs to be hauled before the courts and locked up until every MAGA supporter is running for the hills.

Thank you for highlighting this story. While troubling, it was a break from the constant coverage of DT.

This situation could have been something Trump might have given Putin information that was clasified, either deliberately or "inadvertently" because his evilness is equal to his ignorance. This is an example how espionage is so dangerous and criminal. Trump cost people their lives!!
