For instance in your example there was trigonometric(cosx) and algebra(x) so according to LATE u was taken as x

What about x^2*sqrt(x-10). It is easier to intergrate x^2 but we use dv for sqrt(x-10) to get the answer. Please help me with this as I am very confusing

What do you mean by for convenience sake when leaving out the +C
