I know I'm not the only rider out there that when I pass a cop there's a bit of worry that creeps up if the cops going to give me any trouble or not. Well, this time the cop decided to pull me over but I think what happens after will surprise you. It apparently surprised him!

I had a plate fall off my DRZ400E and didn't realize it. When the deputy pulled me over he was legitimately disappointed that I didn't try to run. He said, "Man I was honestly hoping you were going to take off. It's been a slow day and you guys on dirt bikes are always a good time."

I am a retired cop. I stopped a guy in a 1969 Camaro that he just got running in the early 90’s. He had an illegal exhaust, open headers. I wanted to see the car plus he had failed leaking rear wheel cylinders so no rear brakes. He was happy I stopped him, his tags and license came back good so no ticket. We became friends. He showed me repeatedly how to rebuild a carburetor I showed him fuel injection. He is also one of the few people I have allowed to drive my first day production Gen 5 Camaro.
Cops are people, we are car guys, bike dudes, horsemen, we just dress funny for work.

Thank you Chase for being a good example of how the motorcycle community should behave! We're all here to have fun and never want to see avoidable circumstances turn into tragedy.🤙

Almost every cop that has pulled me over on my bike has thanked me for stopping and even a couple told me they were surprised I had done so.

After 18 years and retired I just wanted to say thank you for being understanding and cooperative cause he’s just doing his job. I wouldn’t have given you a ticket either thanks and that’s why I love your videos.

What an awesome cop! Good on you for highlighting the great interactions with LEO instead of all the bad ones we see on YouTube! Ride on man! 🤙🏻

It's always great to see good cops in action, doing a real service. Making sure a bike isn't stolen, not acting like the person's a crook, then using seriously good discretion in handling the situation. Plus being friendly - it's what communities need, and if every cop were like this, we wouldn't have the gap between police and citizens that we have today.

I tell people all the time, cops really don't care too much about light speeding. But tuck plates or no plates makes them perk up every time. It just screams "stolen" which means they're usually expecting that you have warrants for other arrests and they hit the jackpot. Usually if you pull over, they tend to realize you're not a criminal because otherwise you would have just ran. But they'll still write you the tag ticket, especially in Florida.

Years ago I got stopped by a cop on my way back from the Jersey shore. I gave him my license, registration and insurance card. He gave me back a written warning for having my rear break light out and congratulated me on being the first bike he'd stopped that week who had all their paperwork in order. Mind you this was late afternoon on Friday but, still, he was pleasant to me because I was legal.

Funnier than that, I got pulled over recently for moving a bit faster than I should have been on my Yamaha FZ1. I pulled over and when I pulled my helmet off, the officer immediately started to relax and smile given I'm 61 and totally gray haired. He even mentioned he didn't expect "someone my age to be riding that kind of bike". Long story short, I behaved like you did and the young officer gave me a warning and a "Have a nice ride" comment. If you don't act the fool, you'll generally always have good results with the PoPo.

It's funny because I've driven vehicles around with no plates and I've never been stopped once. One day into the next month after my plates are supposed to be registered and the cops are all right on top of that.

He was a good cop. You showed everyone how things can go if everyone is their best behavior and we need more of that. Not enough examples of what to do and too many examples of what not to do can be a problem.

I dunno if you realize this or not but you just so happened to pull into the parking lot of the police department and county jail

I'm not a bike fan.. 4 wheels for life! (wheelchair user) but i appreciate positive/respectful cop interaction videos like this. So like others have said, TY for being one of the good guys out there and not giving the cops shit.

Cops around Atlanta deal with enough, I'm sure you were a breath of fresh air to this Officer, great interaction.

I've been stopped by the law countless times, on my bike and in my car. In my dealings with them I've come across the full spectrum, from complete arseholes, aggressive ones, okay ones and great ones.
Just like life, you meet all sorts.
The best ones were in Spain many years ago, pulled us over, checked our paperwork, all was good, so proceeded to pull out a map, and show us the best roads in that area. Amazing.

"You guys that run are just idiots." THANK YOU!!!! I love bikes, one day I will have another. Every time I see a YouTube video about bikes, it's from a biker riding stupid and or running from the cops and laughing about it. They make us all look bad! Your common sense and your willingness to call out the idiots got me to subscribe!

the added heartbeat sound effect is super realistic, if you've been pulled over - you know this feeling in your chest it sucks.

I really enjoy seeing great interactions between police and the public. Chase acted like an adult, the cop was doing his job and everyone went on with their day. Awesome.
