True story. 35 years ago, I ate 36 hots Krispy Kreme donuts in 18 hours and the next day my appendix exploded inside of me. My dad saved my life, because my HMO wanted to ship me to another hospital 30 miles away in rush hour traffic. The doctor said he could'nt do the surgery I needed right then unless someone said they would pay for it. My pop said, "I'll pay for it." After the surgery, and the doctor saying they found the exploded appendix and 10cc of green goo inside my guts, the HMO paid up. Thanks Dad. You were awesome.
