Red Dead Redemption 2: Things You Probably Missed in The Trailer

Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4, Xbox One) has officially been announced. The trailer was brief, but awesome. What did we learn from it? Let's talk.

You missed the lights in the trailer at 4:50 (top left), when did they have electricity introduced? should give you a time period.

edit: on research electric bulbs were not widespread in the west until at least the 1900, could indicate this isnt a prequel after all or set only a few years (2-3) before red dead 1. I have a feeling we might play as Jack after he kills the officers at the end of red dead 1, that would set the game around 1914 onwards (probably 1917). It being set in 1914-1917 also makes sense from the oil standpoint, they didn't process and extract oil on the scale like we see in 0:16 before red dead 1 (1911) in the west.

what if it ends up tying into the story of Red Dear Revolver? like, the civil war era lookin guy could very well be the Buffalo soldier.

And maybe Red is even related to John? Or, since Red was a bounty hunter, was the one who shot John at the heist?

I was just so damn happy to finally see this setting come back, regardless of whether it's a prequel with characters we already know and love or a new set of characters. Even if there wasn't much to go on yet, thank you for putting together this video. Just such a joy to hear about Red Dead coming back for a second game!
