This is the first of a series of short videos, where useful results in physics, are derived through some quick and nifty calculations, which can be done on the back of an envelope.

In this video, we derive the surface area and volume, of an n-dimensional unit sphere in Euclidean space; also known as a hypersphere. All we need is the Gaussian integral and the Gamma function; which is the extension of the factorial into the complex plane.
