There are old Roman remains under Budapest, most of which have been excavated, but also in other places in Hungary, and there is also a certain Roman road - in good condition - that was built at that time. Also deaths were not so common, which makes sense when you realize that keeping a well trained gladiator was a pretty costly investment. Why would someone readily kill their assets?

Finally, my favorite curiosity, though debatable among historiansthere were naval battle (naumachia) held in the coliseum. They could flood it with water and have war ships fight inside.
