Hi Tony, thanks for watching! Yes, this technique would work for what you're trying to accomplish, but please note that it would be recommended to have your rectangles overlap each other slightly in case your registration isn't perfect.

Hey there, I suppose it was more around 5" since the artwork was down about another inch away from the registration marks. That doesn't necessarily mean that is where you should place the films on your screens though, the distance down will depend on where your platens fit on your press, and the size of the image. The important thing is you use the same measurement down on each screen for the design you're burning. Hope that helps! :)

Well what this video did tell me was that I'm best off going to a professional for this sort of thing.... cos I haven't got the time, energy, interest or knowledge.... but clearly you do.

But what I will say is it give me an insight into screen printing I didn't have.

I understand you register the screens so the screens are perfectly aligned. Lets say all screens are perfectly aligned. You print one screen and move on to the next screen. You rotate the next screen freely and stop over the shirt and pull down the screen. How do you know the screen will land on the same spot you aligned??? I ask that because I see people in videos switch over to the next screen and pull it down. You can rotate the screens so freely so I would like to know how do you know when to stop and land on the same spot. It doesn't seem like there is tension to stop you when you spin to the next screen.

Thanks so much. I have a athletic line of 3 designed shirts and I will probably will be producing 3 design's each season. If I get alot of orders I will just contract the orders out but I suspect I will be getting smaller orders. So do you think The beginner silkscreeningsupplies for 199.00 with no micro registration or should I try to find a line table press? Which I can't find anywhere. Again thanks for responding and happy easter. Tony PS I subscribed.

I have a design where I have 3 rectangle strips across the shirt about an inch thick all with 3 different colors. I have no lines separating the colors. Would this process your showing me here work for my situation of the colors being right up against each other with out a line separating them ? Thanks so much for your time. Tony

Good tutorial.  I wouldn't, however, tape off the reg marks before making a test print.  Easier to adjust if it's off a little bit.
