I'm also from the South Pacific from an island called Samoa. We have so many stories of giants, tiny people in caves, shapeshifting and demons/spirits that rule over specific villages, waterfalls, rivers and many others etc a lot of locals are aware of the stories.
There's also an ancient pyramid structure that was discovered and no one knows why its there. Also star mounds all over the island.
They have a giants footprint that's preserved on 1 of the islands and its one of the tourist spots.
I'm not surprised with Solomon Islands giants stories.

I worked at a prison in CA. I remember talking to an inmate while he was cleaning. He was chill and just working and we started talking about WW2 and stuff. He was a Vet who was an addict and couldnt live out in the world due to his addiction, so he was in prison for stealing and stuff anyways, he kept telling me that giants were still out there and I was thinking he was just out of it by now, so i just went along with his stories. So i asked him where are the giants? And he just said Solomon. I didnt know what solomon meant until i looked it up when i got home. My next Monday i was talking to him about me looking up giants and stuff and he said they are still around and that those giants built a lot of things like the stonehenge and pyramids and stuff. The creepy thing is that he mentioned that these giants hurt people and that they were able to kill someone just by screaming out loud. A week later he passed due to an overdosed.

Some of the Solomon Island giants are the sasquatch. They have boats, and are nocturnal so fish the ocean at night. The brilliant linguist who went there to visit his university buddy, and to learn the squatch language, later stopped at Phonecia and found he understood them. He said the Squatch language is a very old (archaic) form of Phonecian. Brilliant man. I think he had only 6 weeks to learn what he could, and the first days were wasted on trying to get permission from the head Sasquatch to even study them.
This was several years after the squatch headman had gone to the Bishops and stated that they would no longer be eating people. Long and amazing story. One village has the body and very long grave of a squatch that a local took out in the days when they came to steal children. He states the impossible grave length in the story. The story is from the buddy who lives there. The linguist was returning home to the USA from work in the middle east.

My grandpa's ship ⚓🚢 blew up and he was rescued by I think natives on the solomam islands and than flown to the hospital.. God bless you and your family

Solomons Gold came with the jewels, mined in Philippines, and in Madagascar which still has part of the Levite tribe, and ancient burial "huts" with star of David on them. The "gold of Ophir, which is very good" is far more yellow than that mined elsewhere. Hebrews were sent to both places to do the mining. Solomon's ships did a circuit based on seasonal yearly winds and currents.

Not just in the Solomon Islands but in Papua New Guinea as well. If you travel to the islands like Milne Bay for example, there are caves in certain areas with massive skeletons which can only be described as the remains of giants. The locals that live there are well aware of these giants and do their best to stay clear away from those areas. There's an unspoken rule that if you leave them alone and respect their space, they'll pretty much do the same.
