US professor from Ivy League school praises Hamas’ attack

A US professor from the Ivy League school Cornell University was filmed preaching and praising Hamas’ attack on Jewish people.

Israel declared a state of war on October 7 following a surprise attack launched from Hamas, where the Palestinian militant group fired thousands of rockets as far north as Tel Aviv and infiltrated the south of the country.

“Unfortunately is a massive understatement but we continue to see these displays of vile anti-Semitism,” says Sky News host Liz Storer.

“The latest to come from the states is from a Cornell University professor; Cornell is a Ivy League school.

“What this professor Russell Rickford has to say has to be heard to be believed, this guy gives our Greens and Teal members of parliament a run for their money.”

I don't recall any 'Gays against Kenya' rallies, when the conservative Kenyan government came out with a 50 year jail term for being gay. There's a very good reason there weren't any mass middle class LGBTQ marches in the Western world against Kenya. I wonder if anyone can guess why that was...

I’m all on board with Israel taking this response given the atrocities committed but that clip sounded hard cut out of context.

It could be true. But that one clip, if the discussion that follows is to be treated as such, really doesn’t demand as much scrutiny as the hosts are putting on it.

If this soppy professor knew the actual acronym for Hamas, he wouldn’t be having a go. Hamas stands for “Harakat al-Muqāwamah al-Islāmiyyah” translating to “Islamic Resistance Movement”. Hamas came from Islam, which in turn came from Muhammad, who came from Ishmael, biblically described as a “wild donkey of a man” (16:12), resistant and rebellious to his relatives, who was sent away after he fought with Isaac
