I've just fixed the key for my Insignia using one of these kits - really easy. Totally recommended. I got the Vauxhall logo off my old key by heating up a small flathead screwdriver on the hob.

Used this guide, out of all the ones online, this is the only one which address the holding pin. Huge help, now have my reserve key back up and running, tip of the hat and firm handshakes all around!

Nice, simple and easy to follow. I used the video whilst changing the fob over.
Never had to go back, to re-run a bit I didn't understand either.

Just done mine. I have to be honest, the thought of taking a hammer to my key fob was a bit alarming, but the old one had lost a button and was getting flimsy. Cheapest price from a locksmith was £120. I can't express how delighted I am with it, once I got going. The blade switches in and out with ease. The lock and unlock buttons operate perfectly, and the engine starts. What more could you want?The instruction video was a God send. I will definitely recommend.

Thanks for this. For anyone having trouble opening their old vauxhall key fob to get the circuit board, do ensure you're holding on tight onto the fob whilst squeezing the external circuit pliers to break it open. I learnt the hard way and completely broke off a massive piece of plastic 😅 luckily I was able to get the circuit board out and all works fine !

Just to echo most of the other comments, great product, great price, great instruction video. Getting the pin in to attach the old blade to the new case parts the only fiddly bit for me. The circlip pliers are a necessity for opening the old fob, in my opinion; I’d’ve wrecked the PCB without them, as my fob took some significant force and several attempts to prise it open. Highly recommended - thanks again guys.

good instruction video easy to follow, my problem was with my existing key, my 62 plate astra key did not just separate vauxhall decided to fuse the 2 halves together making it impossible to separate it took a small metal saw and pliers to separate the 2 halves being very caustious not to damage the electrical board inside took about an hour to do .
