the thing to consider with the Kirin chip, is that it's a 2020 chip. 2 generations behind essentially, used in the Mate 40 pro phones. it's unsurprising that it's either last or 5th

I am surprised that even after being a 2020 chipset Kirin is a beast. Imagine if we could have a 2022 new Kirin chip. I miss those good old days where Huawei was my go to choice for android section. Damn you restrictions!

considering Kirin 9000 for being a 2-year chip and is still a beast!

The dimensity 9000 is such a good chip. The perfwct balance of performance and efficiency.

The Kirin unfortunately has an unfair advantage since it's a few years old. But it still held it's own and the battery life overall is impressive. Good vid.

Kirin is still somewhat competitive even though it's 3 years old. Comes to show how far ahead Huawei was before it got killed by US sanctions.

An excel spreadsheet test for mobile chipset ?
This is gold.
No other channel did this kind of test although it's clearly more representative than other tests.

I love the fact that the apple's A15 BIONIC chip has helped in improving the battery life a lot more. And from the user reviews of the iPhone 13 (and IPhone 13 pro, pro max), I have noticed that majority of the people have mentioned the improved battery life and how easily it lasts for almost more than a day.
This was some serious in depth comparison we all needed! 😌💯

The Mediatek Dimensiity 9000 has a lot to offer for andriod phones BUT, the problem is thermal throttling. Phones with decent cooling don't use the chipset which makes it fall behind

2 year old kirin 9000 competing with new gen chips
That shows how huwaei could have lead if not banned😑

You should enable performance mode in Mate 40 Pro (Kirin 9000) then ANTUTU results will be above than 800K and multi core in geekback also 40% more. This is not a fair comparison without enabling the performance mode in Huawei's devices.

I was actually impressed by others too but I knew A15 would take the cake

*WOW* By far one of the most detailed comparisons out there. Well done👍.

Please try a Snapdragen 8+Gen1 vs A16 as soon as they come out.

I find Mediatek Dimensity 9000 is the most stable and consistent among the chips

For a first gen chip, Tensor is quite impressive.

K9000 is two gens behind and still holds up. This is why they got banned... they were too good, and the US was scared they wouldn't be able to fleece the people anymore.

Crazy that the a15 can dominate the majority while being the most efficient, also the iPhone has the smallest battery at 4300mah where as the Samsungs have 5000mah batteries.

Insane efficient from Apple

You should do a peak performance test that's exactly the same but you place a Black Shark cooler on all of them located around where the SoC is. This will show you what the peak performance of the device could be if it had better cooling.
