this was definitely my favorite game from the start of the blackthornprod video, and the frog in the thumbnail is actually the reason why i clicked on it in the first place because i loved the derpy art style of it. Im starting to learn game dev and this video is pretty inspiring to me, I hope you have lots of success on your game dev journey.

Yo congrats on the release!! Super impressive work :D I've been an employed game dev for 6 years, but making a whole ass game myself is still on the bucket list. Really smart game design for a short dev period! It looks great!! 🤘🤘

It’s so hard to keep a small scope and create a game in such a short amount of time. My team always struggles with exactly these kinds of things. The game concept is really cool, and the gameplay looks super fun! We’ll definitely be playing it soon!

I made a game in one month, and it is nothing as impressive as this. My game ain't even worth being put on Play Store.
While I can be forgiven due to time constraints, as I'm a high school student, I still find your work very impressive, and I'm inspired by your skills. Keep up with the good work.

Bought the game. Some feedback.

I was not enjoying it so much at the very beginning because all the fun of the game comes from the movement and twitchy shooting but you can only do that with ammo which was very hard to keep full. It felt like it incentivised me to stay on the ground next to the ammo frog and shoot flies to restock constantly. It didn't feel like much fun until I got the ammo belt. Then I had a bit more room to make mistakes in the gun jumping and hit pads and actually move around. Before that it felt like I couldn't learn how to do any of the pad jumping as I ran out of ammo too fast. Was having fun between when I got the ammo belt and was moving more right up until the owls. The fact that you can't aim straight up and that's where the owls go to at lightning speed is tough. But it makes you feel like you need to move laterally quickly, which is cool but they spawn and move so fast to be straight above you. The difficulty ramp from everything else to the owls felt very steep.

The lack of any health indication was annoying as I felt surprised when I got one shot by something. The lack of visual distinction between the zones made me feel a bit confused as well. At one stage I took a boat and thought I had gone back to the first stage. Even some more landmarks in the levels would be handy, like a big rock or something as it felt very easy to get confused as to where you are between all the pads as you're looking for the health/ammo guy etc.

Played for an hour and a half. The majority of that time was dying to owls.
