I have a dual band extender so on high speed mode should I set it so it is 2.4ghz is from the router and 5ghz to the clients

Good topic. Here is my problem. I'm playing multiplayer Battlefield 4 on PS4. LAN connection. My broadband speed is 500Mbps up and down. When I'm near an enemy my gun won't fire. And even I'm dead accurately aimed at the enemy nearby, it can totally missed. I dunno what is the ping. But the server I'm playing at are on another part of the world far away. How to fix ?
