I agree 100% in that it’s an uphill struggle, I haven’t had my dad in my life since I was 10 (he’s dead). But he was a pedo, so the world is better off with him gone. Having to struggle with manhood without a role model is truly difficult. I’ve had to figure all of it out on my own. I don’t remember what his name is, but a Muslim scholar wrote a book that coined the term cultural schizophrenia, that term has extreme pertinence in the west. I would be so happy if I had someone to show me how to act as a good and moral man. I try my best to be decent and moral, but I can always get better. That’s truly one of the things I respect about Islam as a religion, that egotism and the self take a backseat in regard to the community and Allah. All of the Muslim people I have met all exhibit such humble attitudes (they don’t act as if they are omnipotent). I’m happy I found your channel brother. Free Palestine.

I lost my father when I was 11 yrs old and that really changed me. Alhamdulillah, my older brothers decided to come back from their home country and I got a shaykh - whom I am currently studying under - and they started lifting me to be a man. One lesson I will never forget is that an upright muslim man should always ponder over what he says and always pretend to be older - one day pretending becomes a force of habit and the norm

I get what he's saying but our role model Muhammad pbuh didn't have a father and he is what all men should aspire to imitate.

Yeah i understand, the father figure is very important

But are you saying that if someone wasn’t given that gift he is doomed to be feminine with no hope no matter what?

That is where i disagree

It’s actually opposite, single mothers raise violent and antisocial men who are more likely go to jail and drop out of school. But it’s about chicken or eggs. Is it antisocial people choose each other to cause higher rates of divorce? (There is couples of assortative mating of antisocial behaviors researches Pearson Correlation r=0.5)

4 Lol, why we keep talking about masculinity when in reality what we need to approach is about MANHOOD, a lesbian woman is masculine. Is called "lt takes a village" And if the village is morally corrupted where are the roll models? SPIRITUALITY IS THE KEY.

Brother Hijab turned out pretty masculine and he was brought up by his mother!!! & Not his father so its not just that! Our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him was brought up with out a mother for most of his life & he is our role model we aspire to be like him well try to & he is the best of men in humanity Alhumdulilah Alhumdulilah Alhumdulilah Alhumdulilah Alhumdulilah, it is not necessarily true but in some cases yes but not all. In islam both the mother and the father are a integral and important part of a child's upbringing.

Given that traditionally masculine traits—such as strength, courage, independence, leadership, and assertiveness—are not directly tied to biological sex, a woman can effectively demonstrate and teach these qualities to a child.

Hijab was raised up by a single mother himself. Did he mention in any of his podcasts what father figure he got to learn from?

Women have to be masculine in a warrior sense men have to be feminine in a homely sense, so to speak . I mean neither can really replace the other but we have to take responsibility for our own crap . Love and mercy. Peace be with you brother.
