Unity 5 2d Animation Tutorial - Part 2: Welcome to my second Unity 5 2d Animation Tutorial where i show you how easy it is to create 2d sprite based animation using the Unity 5 game engine.

In this video, i explain what goes on behind the scenes in the animator panel. I also show the manual process of switching between animation states using the parameters. I then cover scripting in detail in Part 3.

This tutorial is aimed at beginners who would like to learn how to make 2d sprite based animations inside the Unity 5 editor. Please feel free to share you comments/feedback/questions in the comments section and i'll try to help as best as i can.

Make sure to have "Has Exit Time" UNCHECKED for State Machine anims to idle properly.

Hey Great video once again! I wish you would have told about the variables earlier, because for 19min i was flipping my shit as too y were the animations acting crazy because you had linked the states earlier and did not tell about the conditions -__-

dude please respond, my idle animation automatically goes to another walking animation and back. i have transitions lines but there are no statements, so i had to mute transition to stop it. any idea?
