i have the a7ii and before christmas was considering upgrading to the a7iii but decided to spend the money on glass instead, best thing someone told me is to "date the body, marry the lens"

I just got my a7ii last Dec 2020. I freakin' love it! I haven't used anything else but I have no complaints.

I really like the dynamism of the video. You are not standing at your desk and speaking like others. The direct demonstration is faboulus. Thank you

I have been weighing purchasing the A7ii against the A7iii, and now the Canon EOS RP. My big interest is in taking portraits, landscape, and low light photography. Your videos on the A7ii present a lot of quality information in an interesting and aesthetically pleasing way. I also love the way you present yourself on camera and how you speak. The videos I have seen of yours are so relaxing, which keeps me watching all the way through.

Agreed. I took interest in photography last year got the a7ii last February. It works quite well for beginner like me. Still learning it. Lots to learn. .

I'm not a professional but I am a seasoned photographer, been shooting for 40 years. I just picked up the a7ii to have a smaller backup camera to my K1. I am loving the a7ii!

Love the shutter sound of this camera. Also, I think one of the reasons it has such a great low light capability is because of the lower resolution compared to EOS R for instance. Lower resolution sensors have less noise in low light situations

I love my A7ii. I was also surprised how much info I could get from the shadows. Great dynamic range. Sharp af.
That said, if youโ€™re getting one, buy at least 2 Extra Batteries. Yes, 2 extra. At least. The only real drawback of the A7ii is the tiny battery and its short life. So invest in a battery grip(after market - the Sony grip is way overpriced), if you can, to hold an extra battery.

Bought mine in 2017. No problem since then. Yes, AF is a bit slow, ISO performance could be better but... given it is paid for and still works fine, no point changing :)

Wow this video completely changed my mind about thinking what I'd need as an ongoing hobby photographer. We need more people like you, thank you!

Loved my A7II, my first Sony camera. Loved it so much I upgraded to an A7RIII. Still have fond memories of shots I got on the A7ii though.

Coming from a Nikon 5600 and 8 lens. This was a MAJOR upgrade moving to a new system like SONY. I don't regret it at all. I love my A7II

Nice tip about shadow recovery! With the recent Sony sales promotion, I was able to get a used A7ii for less than 700 bucks at a major camera store. It was rated at 9+, had a shutter count of 826, and came with all of the original accessories including the box. I have some great Minolta MD glass I want to use with this camera.

Plenty of plus points with the A7II even to-date. Got mine January this year. My cam before this was 5DII with couple of L lenses. With proper Metabones adapter all those EF lenses work great with the A7II as well. In fact any old glass I tested gives extra character with the sensor. So yea. Secret is out. :)

Love my A7ii. I have a collection of vintage lenses (about 50 of them) that I use mainly with this camera.

hey Keegan, little personal note, ย
a year ago the first video of yours that I saw was that of the Sony 7ii, liked you instantly, and I've never missed an upload since, ย
now you are like a very far friend, that appears every now and then, seeing that Sony a year later it's a little bit touching in a way, nothing, thank you, really appreciate the content and the "companionship" (I don't know if it's the right word)

yo, i really hate when youtubers say "hit that like button and subscribe if u like the video", but you made an honest explanation about how liking your video will pump up your video in "search".
i really do appreciate it and thank you for educating me on youtube algorithm.

I think I made my decision! I've been shopping for a camera for over a month and this this video just sealed the deal! Thank you!

I've had the A7ii since it became available. And yes I paid over $2000.00 for it. It is still my go to daily use camera. If you can pick one up for under a grand and you are looking for a great mirrorless camera, and I mean great camera at a reasonable price this is it. However, you may have to spend a few buck for extra batteries. My A7ii has been abused over the years and it shows but it still works to perfection. Great video

Thanks Man. I just bought one, I was motivated by your other A7II video... and I love it!
