I had GBS in 2001 when I was a kid (11-12) and I still have weakness and foot drop (both feet) because of it. The week before the flaccid paralysis was terrible, diarrhea, fever, vomiting, dehydration, sometimes I couldn't even hold water down, then started falling over till I couldn't get back up, luckily It didn't affect my respiratory system. To whoever has it or dealing with the aftermath keep on fighting and to the people who have someone who has it, give them all your love and support, they need it more than you think.

My dad, age 83, died of this after getting his first ever flu shot. His doctors finally diagnosed him the actual day he passed away. I doubt this is as rare as they say because I'm hearing more about it all the time. People just didn't know what it was before. Thanks for the great info!

I was diagnosed with GBS in 2015 after getting a few shot. The doctors never knew what caused my symptoms. The diagnosed me with conversion disorder. I still have minor episodes. I am trusting God for complete healing.

My 21 month old had this. It took 4 days for the doctor to realize it was GBS. She received plasma and was able to walk after 3 weeks of therapy. August 30th of 2019, she turned 6yo, she now hops, skips, jumps and walks normally. Is crazy to know she ever experienced this. We know that her case isn't only rare but that she regained mobility in such a short time, is truly a miracle.

Diagnosed 17 years ago. Severe paralysis and pain shortly after surgery ! Took 3 months to diagnose hence slow recovery . Still a lot of pain and can only walk short distances . However so glad to be as well as I am .

I am a 44 year old OEF/OIF Navy veteran and of course within my 5 years I was given many vaccinations including a few cycles of Anthrax vaccines. I worked in the hospital after my time in the service where I was required to receive many other vaccinations as well. I have always been active and in good health and actually deliver wine to many well known retailers and restaurants which require a lot of labor and lifting. I am into my third year now as a delivery driver but after I went to the VA and got the J&J Vaccine it wasn’t long until I started getting tingles in my legs, almost felt like warm water running down my hips, hands and feet with numbness in the lips. I also found it odd to take steps. Then at night I had severe needle like pains in my arms and hands. Excruciating pains! Then I got Covid and my whole body hurt I slept for three days but come out of it! Then something happened in my neck that almost paralyzed me! I got an MRI and they said I had spinal stenosis and got steroid shots in my neck for 6 months til I recovered. Every time I went to the chiropractor it only felt worse. I was in pain pills for month’s but still hurt like hell! Now my back and hips are killing me with each step. Work is torture but this morning I could not lift my arm and my shoulders burn like hell! With lighting pains like hot electric wires in the arms same pains just different parts of body! 😢I have high blood pressure and strange palpitations! I have been married for almost 17 years with my oldest 19 years old in college, 15 year old freshman in high school and my two boy/girl twin babies who are about to turn 9! If it is this then I am not scared, Christ is with me, always is and always has been! I hold his name on high! King Jesus! I am going to call the Doctor Asap and ask for this test! Life is beautiful and I am blessed to have experienced it all! Whatever happens I will embrace the suck!

GBS in 12 minutes never to be forgotten by me. We had a question in our Paediatric MCQ exam on GBS last year and I got it wrong. But if I were to come across any question on GBS now i'll chow it 100%. Thank you very much!

Awesome information - I have had CIDP going into my 5th year due to my previous R.A. diagnosis and the fact that I also have hypothyroidism. My improvement is slow but thankfully in Canada all is free.👍🏻🇨🇦

It's not rare anymore as it is a result of the spike proteins from the mandated clot shots that replicate attacking the peripheral nerves. As of this week, the condition is at epidemic proportions among the population of Peru.
