How to easily solve quadratic equations using TI-30XIIS

I had some trouble finding out how to solve a quadratic equation on my calculator. Hopefully, this helps someone!

I've been tutoring someone who uses this calculator... Great tip!!!
I'll offer one more tip: Use parentheses to enter the full expression like so:
(-B+sqrt(B^2-4*A*C))/(2*A)
Press enter. If this results in an error, then the discriminant B^2-4AC must be negative.
After the calculation, you can use the up arrow to go up through your entry history to find this equation again, and use the left/right arrows to place the cursor over the + sign and change it to a minus sign. Press enter again, and you will now have the second solution.
Next problem? Re-define variables of A, B, &C. Up arrow to find the PLUS solution...enter. Up arrow again to find the MINUS solution...enter. Done!

I had to buy this dinky calculator off of Amazon cause I needed one for Physics and I'm just a poor college student, and knew the quadratic equation was gonna be on tomorrow's quiz, but had no idea how to put the numbers I had into my calculator to make it work. can you program the quadratic equation solution in, so that you only need to input the variables and it will solve for you?

Well, that was useless. It is just easier to input the variables at that point.

this is unnecessary. takes a long time and most teachers want answers in radians not decimal. also you can input quadratic equation without using letters. just input the numbers.
