Facebook board member (and Billionare ) Peter Thiel quickly seized on the case as an opportunity to settle his own grudge with Gawker, which had outed him as gay in 2007 and criticized his business dealings. Peter spent millions secretly bankrolling Hogan’s case – apparently the wrestler himself had no idea who was funding him – and Gawker was driven to bankruptcy. Hulk Hogan ended up winning $31 million from the site.

I will say that Hulk was in our town the other day, and my friend's daughter is battling leukemia. My friend met him, and he made a like 3-4 minute video for her daughter. If this were flipped, if this was a woman this happened to, the reactions would be different. Regardless who this is or who it happened to, male or female, it was done without consent. If he agreed to have it made then that’s on him. He didn’t. The media gets away with too much. I agree with the outcome. You can’t do this to people.
