Why use a Chromebook? Because they're freakin' awesome!
In a matter of a week I went from not even knowing why Chromebooks exists to absolution loving it!

Chrome OS may seem a bit limiting on the service, but when you dig in to things like Android on Chrome OS and Linux on Chrome OS, you start to really see the power of these devices!

I don't know why I watch these videos AFTER I buy the product instead of before 😂

Nice to see a guy who immediately starts out telling us why we should watch the video. Keeps a good pace and delivers on his promise to inform. Nicely done. Thanks for allowing me to feel at the end that I made good use of my time.

I have an older Toshiba Chromebook 2, it is a great device that I picked up dirt cheap second hand. It has a full HD display, with 4 gb of ram, but only 16Gb of storage. I just picked up a 128Gb Micro SD card for more storage, and that works great. I used ChromeOS for a bit, but I very quickly dual booted with Linux, and I have been using GalliumOS on it since. I runs great, the battery life is fantastic, and with the new pushes from steam, I can use Proton to play windows games, obviously hardware dependent, and some older Windows games actually run better under proton then they do on Windows 10. And a great thing to mention is that with the Steam Link app, just days after you released this video, Steam added support for game streaming off-network, so now that little under powered Chromebook can stream anywhere, with your network connections being the caveat.
Great video, and many great points. Chromebooks are great for a large amount of users, most people just don't know that. And with Linux support, they are even better then they started.

The sweet spot for processors on chromebooks is m3. 64 GB of shortage and 4GB of RAM.

This is very reassuring! I just had a struggle with the decision purchased my first Chromebook for only $350 This helps me feel very good about my choice! It does have pretty decent build and 128SD only 4memory but finding out that's ok, like you say. Will know better once it arrives but the store model was quick with lots of working apps.

I was like you saying what's the point of a Chromebook? Well I bought an inexpensive Asus Chromebook with 4 gig of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage for $270, plus I added a 64GB SD card. I've had it just a week and I'm blown away by how easy it is to use how fast it is and the enormous amount of capability in terms of chrome OS Android and Linux. This sleek and slim device handles 95% of what I need to do with a laptop. I've had increasing frustrations with Microsoft and Windows 10 that has basically crippled my i5 laptop with 8GB ram and runs slowly because of all the windows garbage and the ridiculous updates that Microsoft forces on us. And don't forget those disastrous updates over the last year. I'm so glad that we have another portable option I love my Chromebook and I highly recommend it to others!

Most helpful. The more I listen to people teaching info on chromebooks the more I understand. It's a nice lightweight option for a more efficient computing experience. Perfect for streaming and browsing on the internet, media usage and things of that kind. Sadly I'm slow at learning but I find the whole computing experience absolutely fascinating. Thank you for taking the time to teach others your computer wisdom! 👍.{Top Man}.👍

Since online learning has started, my chromebook has been super useful as it is fast to operate online via audio and cam and also very simple to use like Google docs etc.. Worth the money!

My wife uses a Chromebook and it suits her needs perfectly, she has a very capable machine though for a Chromebook, but the fact you can use android apps now is also a massive bonus.

I’ve used Chromebooks a lot in school and I grew to hate it do to how limited it is compared to my MacBook and even my iPad. I know that Chrome OS at school is even more limited due to school regulations, but even outside of the school servers, I still found Chrome OS limiting. However, after doing research on Chromebooks, I at least respect it now. I still prefer Windows, MacOS, and iOS, but I can understand why people would go for a Chrome OS computer. The low price of the product completely justifies the very simple nature of Chrome OS which makes it a great option for those on a budget, those who only need it for basic office work, or those who are minimalists. After I watching this video, I now consider Chromebooks a viable option for my computer the next time I go out to buy one. Admittedly, it’ll be a while until then because I just got an iPad recently and I enjoy using it for entertainment and work reasons. But maybe 5 or 6 years from now, which is the time frame for me to get a new computer, it’ll be interesting to see how Google’s Chrome OS will compete against the other operating systems from Microsoft and Apple.

I am using a chromebook as my go to device for personal use for two years already and my wife borrows it for her teaching side job. I do have a gaming desktop PC but I don't even have speakers connected, so it's not used for anything but gaming. On the chromebook I browse the web, check my email, watch movies and youtube, do my e-banking, create documents and spreadsheets (in office 365 or google docs) from time to time, light picture editing etc. It fits all my needs for personal computing. I bought it used for 100$ and it is still fast and usable as on day one. I don't worry about viruses and software updates. It just does exactly what I need and it is reliable, has plenty of ports including full size HDMI so my wife also uses it for presentations and lessons. Now, with Google Stadia coming up it will become a serious gaming platform also. The good thing is that in time it has become more productive and useful as it aged, so that is a new concept in the computing space. It is not all to all people, don't get me wrong, but it offers enough for the majority and you should not dismiss it and just go for an Mac or a Windows based PC. The selling point here is that for a 300-500 $ you will have to compromise on other platforms. If you wish to spend a 1000$ on a laptop go with Windows or Apple. The point is that you don't have to, now that we have devices like this...

Chrome OS has certainly improved over the years. I myself made the mistake of purchasing a Chromebook back in 2013 when it was in its early stages, and using it without the internet was unusable and I regretted my purchase. But then I found out that after updates, it became a more reliable machine.

Hey dude, finally started seeing notifications again. Glad to see others talking about chrome books. These are really cool machines. Love the ease of connection and use. On some days I use it more than my MacBook Pro. Great video dude.

Absolutely fantastic. Thanks for this great introduction to Chromebook. I've loved them, but not yet committed to using them fully and want to shift more to it simply because it is a simple, reliable, tool. This has helped me to consider taking 'chromebooking' to that next level.

I've had a Chromebook since January. I will never go back to a Windows machine ever, ever again. I wish I'd taken the plunge with one of these 4 years ago. They are simply SUPERB.
