After the initial cutscene you have to at least move, if you immediately open the menu the only option is quit to desktop

I'm glad someone made a video of this I wish this wasn't even needed in the first place and just like in other games they give us the option of which language we want to pick before starting the game

This worked for me on PS5 using the same icons but in different locations. I just paused, zoomed in, and selected appropriate ones and back to English we are! Or whatever language you need! Thank you for the video

Actually the title is wrong and that's not a bug... The default interface in Chinese... Unless China is under the colonization of USA please let us know...

It's not a bug, the game is Chinese. But thanks for the video. Not all steps aligned, it seems the menu options can be different, but if you choose the same symbols, it'll work.
