First of all, EXISTENCE is not an illusion. Here we all are. We walk, talk, dance, love, think, and feel.

Now, what about "the world"? Well, we perceive SOMETHING that behaves in an objective way and we can all discuss it, generally agree about it, and so on. Ultimately what we're discussing and agree about are our PERCEPTIONS. They behave in a rational and objective way. That's what I regard as "the world." It ultimately DOES NOT MATTER what the origin or mechanism of those perceptions are. We're here, and we have them. That's the bottom line and I'm perfectly happy calling the aggregate of our shared and agreed upon perceptions "the physical world." That's really just a name. There doesn't have to be any more to it than that.

I have IDEAS about what might be "below our perceptions, " but that's not a scientific discussion and none of us can prove ideas around that level of things. Ultimately we each just choose the "underlying model" that we feel seems the most sensible and the most "explanatory, " but it's all just guesswork.

Bohm's work was primarily in opposition to 'orthodox' quantum mechanics á la Niels Bohr and the 'Copenhagen school'. 'Classical' physics was already passé at that point.

Only pain and suffering makes this illusions concrete and real only pain and sufferings makes you feel alive. Pain and suffering demand to be felt and if you are attached then suffering and pain is more intense and more concrete. Even thosw who shout and call this reality and existence as illusion are attached and not ready to give up this is illusion this is the power of maya if it is not concrete like this then it is not maya. Take a psychedelic or practice meditation to wake up and be free using direct experience rather then using bookish knowledge and theories about this existence being illusion of singular consciousness.

Quantum entanglement and the many worlds theory supports many of these claims, however, these are philosophical views based on mathematical constructs, that may or may not describe our macro reality; we won't truly know until experiments validate these claims.
