Saddle Stitch

Looking at a simple Saddle Stitch.

My very first time to leave a response to any video, Period but have to agree with the others....that having just watched 7 videos on how to correctly stitch a saddle stitch WHILE holding you Awl, this one made such a positive print on my memory. I won't have to rethink or doubt myself when I'm at my stitching pony.

Thank you for the clear explanation of this work.   I've been doing the saddler's stitch for many years (I thought) but nobody ever explained how to keep the stitches so wonderfully straight.   It was hit or miss for me until now.   Kudos!!!

Hey there Nigel, I just came here to thank you for your videos and the quality content that you usually upload. I started leatherworking as a hobby and most of the things that I learnt were through yours and Ian Atkinson's channel, if it wasn't for you I would have never figured out how to properly Saddle Stitch, so thank you very much!

I am now able to make some extra money with the things that you guys allowed me to make and I'll be forever greatful and hopefully get to a point where I can give back to the leatherworking community.

I’ve needed this left hand demonstration for years and I just bought a new diamond awl small one from Tandy pro I’ll use this method with it I have always set it down n pick up repeat and repeat this will be my new way thanks 😅😊
